I began teaching myself guitar at 15 in Formby, Merseyside and started writing songs and exploring lead guitar, recording demos, playing in a duo and recording with friends. Later after 5 years studying philosophy, psychology, political philosophy, new religious movements and Indian philosophy in Wales and London, I spent some time in Germany and travelling around Europe then back to London recording demos on a Yamaha 8 Track, some of which still exist and are being put down on digital and enhanced for digital release....Some of these reworked and re recorded.
A move back up north in 2006 saw me creating new age and ambient music on VSTi synths, then shortly after a move to Oxford in 2010, I set up a very successful website selling downloads of new age music. After that I began using YouTube to reach listeners and to date have over 45 million views on various YouTube Partner channels I created and via Content ID. I also created a network of 36 SoundCloud channels with 26 million streams to date.
I have spent the last couple of years focussing on my backlog of as yet unreleased progressive rock music and am currently working on completing 12 progressive rock and ambient albums at various stages of completion in addition to restoring some old demos from up to twenty years ago for digital release. I have also undertaken various side projects and collaborations since 2019 and have music released under various monikers outside of my solo work.
To date, my music has been streamed or viewed 73 million times on various YouTube, SoundCloud and Apple Music (with two Apple Music editorial placements) accounts all over the world on radio and downloads.
I have been in interested esoteric philosophy, Buddhist and Hindu philosophy since the late 80's. Another main interest is the study of the history of new religions, esoteric and occult socities, cults and the founders of such organistations.
Another hobby is European and UK train travel and raiding hotel minibars. I have travelled from Oxford to the Arctic and recorded an album on the sleeper trains. Other epic train journeys I have done include London to Athens and back, Warsaw, Rome and London to Pisa. I particularly enjoy the night trains where one has a bed and can visit the bar before retiring to wake up in Scotland, Austria or Sweden and so on. You can watch a video of my Train to Scandinavia album
